It is our big day with our "meet us the newbies" party tonight. Nothing fancy, a cooler full of beer and wine, bbq some hotdogs and smokies and serve some veggies and other stuff.
We had a blast and met so many new people, including Mr Sexy Greg (yeah that is how he wants to be titled) Ok Greg you will be for ever known as Mr Sexy. He is the other half of Pam and they recently got married in camp before we arrived here, sorry to have missed that day.
As dusk approached we didn't even light our lanterns yet and we were gifted a string set of lights from Al and Moe that no one else was using. Thank you very much Al and Moe!
Tom had mysteriously disappeared and while Al and I were attempting to set up the lights, Andy finished the job and offered a sampling of his table dance routine. Whooo hooo! All of the gals cheered him on and we were expecting it to continue....but....the rain came...yes 3 or 4 whole drops that caused our camp guests to quickly run for higher ground, to a deck with an overhead roof.
Ohhh but they didn't leave us behind (or should I say me), no not at all. There were several that carried the snacks, drinks and chairs over to John and Lisa's camper and the party continued. And that is where I found Tom sitting eating smoked ribs and drinking bourbon. John was giving him tasters of the ribs and he was washing down with bourbon. LOL
We did a couple of rounds of shooters. Turns out it's a common thing, except we keep missing out on the jello and pudding shooter nights (darn!).
We met many people that night and can say we have found our New Brunswick tribe. It is like we cloned many of our Manitoba friends and brought them with us. We even met 2 lovely unicorns. (Angela and Payton wearing their unicorn pajamas) PLEASE NOTE: As always I ask for privacy and safety, that you do not tag any children from my posts unless you are the parents.
We had a fun and very late night. I look forward to meeting up with many of them again!
Here is a picture of Mr Sexy! He's sexy and he knows it!
Andy setting up our lights and the table dancer!
Pics of some of our guests: Note: we just bought that black table for the evening and I thought it had long legs, but it was like a coffee table. A few days later we figured out that we had options. There are buttons to raise and lower the legs, ohh my, sometimes we are slow at learning stuff. Must be a case of old ppl syndrome.....

Tomorrow we are headed to Grand Manan Island to check out the real estate and have a fun day.
Today I am grateful for new friends and fun times!
