Filling a moving container. July 28th

As the saying goes, you dont know how much you have until you need to move it. That is so very true. Add in the fact that we have been in our home for 24 years, and that we brought home part of the business stock after I closed the shop, AND the fact that yes, I am a curator of various art and craft supply collections (ok maybe a hoarder). In the end it adds up to alot of stuff.
If you want to test the strength of your marriage, move to another province with an allotment of stuff maximum 10,000 lbs and try to fit it all in. A test that I never want to do again. While my husband is practical, yet giving, he was drawing the line and I had serious choices to make with my stuff. I sold some things, gave lots away and had the garage sale, but that wasnt enough. Some of my friends still took more stuff, and then finally we did one last load to a thrift shop. We did fit all that I could possibly fit and there will be a weight penalty for going over. I will let you know the costs in the end.
I will not lie, I cried many times, we fought many times, and it was brutal. Even now I struggle with it all.
Here are pictures of the container as it got filled. Even when you think it is full, we still fit 2 mattresses and 3 bedframes before closing the doors and locking. We wont see our stuff again til we get our house in NB. There is some stuff I packed in 2019 that I  havent seen since.
We did leave some stuff as part of the deal for the new owners, and they also got stuff they werent expecting.
In the last pictures you see Shayne (from Big Steel Box) waving goodbye with our stuff.
It goes into storage and will move when we get our house.
