While I said our life would be an open book as we went through the trials and tribulations of our grand move to New Brunswick, I never expected it would take this long and yet happen so fast in the same sentence.
I closed the shop in January 2019 and booked flights to NB to look at houses. But we all know what happened, and how life stopped and stood still for the last 15 months.
Covid
Yes, 1 word, 1 virus, 1 huge life change. Our flight was canceled, Tom didnt retire, we didnt put the house up for sale, we didnt move to New Brunswick, yet.... All because of a life threatening virus that has infected, and taken the lives of so many people. It has caused people to chose sides, create conspiracy theorys, lose faith, jobs, livelihood and much more. It made the move to NB seem minuscule and certainly not worthy of any complaint, well at least not outloud. In our hearts of course it was hard to swallow the fact that maybe we might not be able to go to New Brunswick period.
But with vaccinations, people following stay at home measures, and social distancing it looks like we may have this under management (I still hesitate to say control)
Let our journey begin......
